We are often faced with painful and challenging periods in our life. You may be troubled by a current relationship, experiencing a painful loss, living with a chronic illness, or significant family distress. Depression and grief may be enveloping you as you search for answers to help explain the death of a relationship or the death of a loved one. We also offer Life and Leadership Coaching if your wanting to look forward to reaching new goals or developing new skills for managing in today's world of uncertainties. Whether it's your personal life or perhaps your business we can assist you in being the best you.

The Clinic @ The Montgomery, so named because of its being situated within the historic Montgomery House in downtown Owensboro, Kentucky, is discreetly located three blocks south of the Ohio River on St. Elizabeth St., just steps from the Hampton Inn and its Lure Seafood Restaurant. It boasts ample parking and the benefit of confidentiality in your comings and goings.

ABOUT DR. JONATHAN CARROLL
Dr. Jonathan Eric Carroll is a Kentucky Licensed Pastoral Counselor (KLPC) and experienced state-licensed psychotherapist serving as the Clinical Director and Lead Therapist at The Clinic @ The Montgomery, which serves clients both in person (in Owensboro, Kentucky) and internationally online. Uniquely positioned at the intersection of philosophical and psychological discourse, Dr. Carroll integrates multiple therapeutic approaches to provide comprehensive support for his clients' philosophical health and well-being.
As an APPA-Certified Affiliate Philosophical Practitioner and Certified SMILE_PH Method Philosophical Practitioner, Dr. Carroll employs Socratic questioning and philosophical dialogue to help clients explore life's fundamental questions and challenges. His therapeutic approach is grounded in Bowen Family Systems Theory, which views individuals within the context of their broader relationship networks and generational patterns.
Dr. Carroll's academic journey includes a Doctor of Ministry from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, a Master of Theology from Princeton Theological Seminary, and a Master of Divinity from Columbia Theological Seminary. His post-doctoral studies at the Bowen Center for the Study of the Family have deeply informed his systematic approach to understanding human behavior and relationships.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Carroll is a sought-after speaker and consultant, offering workshops, seminars, and organizational development services to diverse institutions including religious organizations, businesses, and government entities. His expertise in systems thinking and organizational health makes him a valuable resource for groups seeking to build more effective and harmonious environments.
Dr. Carroll's therapeutic philosophy centers on helping clients develop greater self-awareness and emotional maturity while strengthening their capacity for meaningful relationships. By combining philosophical inquiry with psychological insights, he guides clients toward deeper understanding of their life patterns and empowers them to make thoughtful choices aligned with their values and goals.
Having recently served as Chair of the United Way of the Ohio Valley Board of Directors and having also chaired the Kentucky Board of Licensure for Pastoral Counselors and the Kentucky Association of Pastoral Counselors, Dr. Carroll maintains active engagement with both professional development and community service. His commitment to ongoing learning and growth reflects in his practice, where he creates a supportive environment for clients to explore their challenges and discover new possibilities for living.
